Protect the Vote as a Poll Observer
Every voter deserves the chance to cast a ballot and have it counted. Poll observers help ensure election laws are followed, identify potential issues, and report concerns so they can be addressed quickly. Most shifts are calm and routine, and you will never be expected to handle situations on your own. We'll provide the training, resources, and support you need to be successful.
Important: This session is for NCDP Inside Poll Observers. This is not the Statewide At-Large Legal Poll Observer Training.

Why It Matters
With critical elections ahead, we need trained volunteers in every corner of North Carolina. Poll observers serve as our eyes and ears inside polling places, helping ensure election laws are followed and that voters can cast their ballots without unnecessary barriers.
Whether you've done this before or are brand new, we'll help you get ready.
No Prior Experience Required
We'll provide the training, materials, and support you need to feel confident serving as a poll observer.
Recommended Prerequisite
We encourage you to attend a Know Your Rights training before this session. It provides important background on North Carolina election law and voter protections that will help you succeed as a poll observer. Access that here: https://www.mobilize.us/nc-coordinated/event/953390/
