We are excited to welcome Dr. Chris Cooper, Professor of Political Science and Public Affairs at Western Carolina University, as our special guest speaker.
One of North Carolina's leading political analysts, Dr. Cooper is a frequent commentator on state and national politics and is widely recognized for his expertise on elections, voting behavior, and the changing political landscape of North Carolina.
Following the 2026 elections, Dr. Cooper will offer his insights into the results, what drove Democratic victories across Western North Carolina, the state, and the nation, and what these outcomes mean for the political landscape heading into 2027 and beyond.
This year's Holiday Breakfast will also be an opportunity to celebrate the hard work and dedication of Democrats throughout Buncombe County and Western North Carolina. From grassroots organizing to historic electoral victories, we have much to celebrate and even more to look forward to!
Giving Back This Holiday Season! In the spirit of the season, we will also be collecting canned goods and nonperishable food items for MANNA FoodBank to help support families facing food insecurity across Western North Carolina. We encourage everyone attending to bring a donation and help us make a difference in our community this holiday season.

Membership and Breakfast Tickets
All are welcome! You can purchase a guest breakfast ticket or become a member. We are also accepting 2027 membership dues now, so you can renew or join early and be ready for another exciting year!
Despite rising costs, we have worked to keep dues accessible:
Individual Membership: $100
Couple Membership: $150
Sponsor Membership: $200 (includes sponsorship of two young Democrats)
Young Democrat Membership (35 and under): $50
Guest Breakfast: $15
All dues-paying members receive breakfast for the full year.
