Field trip!
As you may know, the Black Mountain Democrats’ monthly gatherings are held at the exact same time as the Black Mountain Town Council’s monthly meeting. The reasons behind that conflict are complicated, but the effect is unfortunate. Decisions made by locally-elected representatives often have more impact on our daily lives than decisions made in Raleigh or Washington, D.C. But sadly, too few of us follow the Town Council or know about their meetings.

So for June, in lieu of our regular get-together at Pisgah Brewing, let’s show up at the Black Mountain Town Council meeting and become more informed citizens. June’s Council agenda will be published on Thursday, June 4 at https://blackmountainnc.portal.civicclerk.com/
