Local legislators Rep. Lindsey Prather, Rep. Eric Ager, Rep. Brian Turner, and Sen. Julie Mayfield will host a community conversation about what’s happening in Raleigh and what it means for Buncombe County.

This event comes one year after our last Buncombe town hall, and we’ll provide updates on several key issues affecting Western North Carolina, including:

-Helene recovery funding and where things stand today
-Legislative updates following the primary election
-What to expect during the 2026 Short Session
-Ongoing conversations around property taxes, the state budget, school funding, and other key priorities

Most importantly, this town hall is an opportunity to hear directly from you. We’ll leave plenty of time for audience questions so community members can share concerns, ask questions, and engage directly with their representatives.
