You’re invited to the historic YMI Cultural Center in downtown Asheville on Friday, August 15, for an evening of community, connection, and commitment to justice. Martin Moore—a seasoned public servant, Buncombe County local, and proud Democrat—is launching his campaign for District Attorney. Together, we’re building the momentum to elect a D.A. who is fair, experienced, and rooted in our community.

Martin Moore is an attorney, mediator, and Buncombe County Commissioner running for District Attorney. A graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and UNC School of Law, Martin began his career as a public defender in Asheville and has over a decade of experience in civil, criminal, and appellate courts, including working on cases before the North Carolina Court of Appeals and Supreme Court. Martin is stepping up to bring his steadfast energy to serve our local criminal justice system and work hard for our community.

This is more than a campaign launch. It’s a call to strengthen our community.
We’ll hear from Democratic leaders and advocates about the importance of electing progressive D.A.s and protecting democracy from the ground up, especially in the face of voter suppression and systemic injustice.
