The saying “all politics are local” is true today more than ever! Come and hear from your “local” candidates who are running for either the Weaverville Town Council and Mayor, the Woodfin Town Council, or the Woodfin Water and Sewer District. The election is November 4th for all Woodfin/Weaverville residents.
It will be at the WagBar https://www.wagbar.com/ in Weaverville (across from Stoney Knob Cafe) on Monday evening, August 18th from 7-9:00pm. There is extra parking that night available across the street at Stoney Knob (since they are closed on Mondays), and Davita Dialysis parking lots.
This will be a fun evening where you can bring your dogs for free (or not) - (No membership required for this private event.) Here are the rules for your dogs. You'll need to show vaccination records - on your phone is fine. If you haven't attended the WagBar before, you may want to try it out with your dog first to see how they like it.
What will we be doing?
· Meeting the local candidates who are running in the Woodfin & Weaverville Municipal, Woodfin Water & Sewer elections on November 4th. Each candidate will have 2 minutes to introduce themselves and then you can meet with them and ask your questions!
· Mingling with fellow like-minded Dems and Dem leaning Independents
· Eating and drinking - There are snacks and plenty of wine, beer, soft drinks to purchase.
· Watching the dogs joyfully run around (the best part!)
Please RSVP by registering so that we can give the WagBar a headcount for staffing purposes. We look forward to seeing you there. What could be better - watching dogs, meeting Democratic candidates and democratic fellowship!
Who should attend: All Weaverville/Woodfin municipal residents as well as Woodfin Water & Sewer residents
