from the NC Coordinated Campaign:
Join Team Cooper for an afternoon of service as we volunteer with MountainTrue to help clean up and protect the rivers and streams of Western North Carolina!
Western North Carolina's natural beauty is one of our greatest treasures, and this is a great opportunity to give back to our communities while spending time outdoors with fellow volunteers. We'll be helping remove litter and debris from local waterways and surrounding areas to keep our mountains clean and healthy.
No experience is necessary! MountainTrue will provide trash bags, gloves, safety glasses, buckets, and any necessary tools. Rubber boots and waders will also be available if needed.
Please come prepared with:
• Closed-toe shoes
• Long pants
• Long sleeves
• A water bottle
• Snacks
• A change of clothes (recommended in case you get wet or dirty)
Volunteers may be working alongside waterways and could be wading in shallow areas while removing debris.
The exact cleanup location will be shared with registered volunteers as soon as it is finalized.
Whether you're a longtime volunteer or just looking for a way to give back, we'd love to have you join us as we help care for the places that make Western North Carolina home.
