Each month we discuss a book agreed upon at the previous meeting. The book for September is "Medicare for All: A Citizen's Guide", by Abdul El-Sayed and Micah Johnson.
In the book, the authors discuss the problems with our current system as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the Medicare for All proposal. "Clear and concise" as well as "highly readable," writes a reviewer for physicians for a national health program (PNHP).
Who should attend: Anyone who wants to read and discuss books of interest, primarily non-fiction, with fellow left-leaning readers.
