Each month we discuss a book agreed upon at the previous meeting. The selection for June is "We the People: A History of the U.S. Constitution," by Jill Lepore. It is described by Jamal Greene, the Dwight Professor of Law at Columbia Law School, as "A pulsating, at times astonishing journey through Americans' never-ending efforts to form a more perfect union" and "essential reading for anyone who cares about self-government under the Constitution."
Who should attend: Anyone who wants to read and discuss books of interest with fellow left-leaning readers.
