The five Buncombe County Democratic Party Clusters that include parts of the City of Asheville are collaborating on an Asheville City Council Democratic Candidate Meet & Greet!

Get to know the Dems running for Asheville City Council. There are 15 Democratic candidates running for three seats. The Primary, which is non-partisan, will winnow the total field down to six that will run for the three seats in the General Election.

This unique opportunity to meet the Dems running for AVL Council will be held on Saturday, February 7th, 2026, starting at 11am at BCDP Headquarters. We’ll start with brief candidate self-introductions, and then the candidates will spread out so guests can have conversations with individual candidates.
