Register to Vote
North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles allows users to complete or update their voter registration online through the MyNCDMV page. Please have your North Carolina Driver’s License or other Identification Card handy.
The deadline to register is 25 days before the date of the election. Voter registration forms are available at the Buncombe Board of Elections, or by calling our headquarters (828) 274-4482.

You can vote on the same day you register.
Registration requirements:
A United States Citizen
18 years or older on Election Day
A resident of your county for at least 30 days before Election Day
If you’re 17, you can register to vote if you’ll be 18 by Election Day
