The Citizens' Climate Lobby is a strong and coordinated international grassroots effort that focuses on national policies to address Climate Change. We like to say we’re creating the political will for a livable world by empowering individuals to experience breakthroughs in exercising their personal and political power by engaging elected officials, the public, and media. Right now we are focusing on a market based solution to climate change that encourages companies to reduce their emissions through a "carbon fee and dividend". This policy would allow market forces to encourage emissions reductions rather than regulations, while also creating jobs, growing the GDP, and not increasing government. This makes this solution a good bipartisan option that has a chance of passing in the coming year. Citizens’ Climate Lobby believes that politicians don’t create political will, they respond to it! This international grassroots advocacy organization focuses on national policies to address climate change and just visited DC to lobby Congress with 800 citizens. They are proposing a plan called Carbon Fee & Dividend that will work to mitigate carbon emissions as well as grow our economy, jobs, and GDP. Steffi Rausch will explain a bit how the plan works and answer any questions.
